Laminate Flooring By Ken Galo We were recently asked by one of our customers to see what we could do to improve the appearance of their floors. They had laminate flooring installed around 14 months ago. The installer did not have anything done to the floor after installation, the cleaning contractor at the time, not us, did nothing either except sweep and mop. We were awarded the contract and asked what we recommended. This being a relatively new floor, we contacted the manufacturer who sent us 3 pages of ‘suggested’ service programs. These covered everything from scrubbing and applying a metal interlock finish, to buffing with lambs wool bonnets. We discussed the various options with our customer and we agreed to try the least aggressive and yet cost effective method.
Using Perpetual Shine Spray Buff and a hogs hair pad and a pink pad we swept and then mopped with NeutraPac cleaner. After the floor dried we spray buffed the floors with a 1500 rpm high speed burnisher. The results were outstanding.
