Vacuum Cleaner Cord Tips

Here is a quick tip on reducing vacuum cleaner cord repairs. Look at the picture below. How many times have you had vacuums in for repair because the cords have pulled out from the unit? Or because they have been twisted and damaged to the point where the vacuum cuts off?
A simple, inexpensive step you can take to avoid this is to secure the cord to the handle with cable ties. See picture below for an example.
