Foam – a mass of bubbles formed on liquids by agitation. Fomites – any object or substance, other than food, that harbors or carries infectious organisms. Formaldehyde – preservative, sterilizing and disinfectant agent (gas or liquid). Fungi – Vegetable organisms that lack chlorophyll and are filamentous after such a structure. Fungus includes mold, mildew, yeast and mushrooms. Fungicide - A chemical agent that destroys fungi. Fungistate – Chemical which inhibits the growth of fungi.
